    Elder (Dr) Biodun Odeleye

    Our Principal Consultant – Elder Biodun Odeleye is an experienced and seasoned Estate Surveyor and Valuer and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (since 1993) with full registration as a Professional Estate Surveyor (ESV-A402) since 1983. He has had over 36 years of remarkable and cognate experiences in professional practice since graduation from the University (in 1980). He is a selfmotivated individual as well as a dependable asset, with a lot of drive which have paid off over the years.

    Apart from being an Associate of the Rating and Valuation Association of Great Britain, he holds a B.Sc. First Class Honours Degree in Estate Management from the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife (1979-1980). He was truly an outstanding scholar in the Department of Estate Management and is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is registered for professional practice by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria in accordance with the provisions of Decree No.24 of 1975, which is the enabling law regulating Estate Surveying and Valuation practice in Nigeria and is also fully registered with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. 

    He served as a Surveyor with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (1980/81) and was an Estate Surveyor/Valuer, Associate Partner, and later full Partner with Messrs Jide Taiwo & Co., between August 1981 and January 1986. He became the Principal Partner of Messrs Biodun Odeleye & Co. in February 1986, where he has taken advantage of the opportunity to develop and nurture his original creative ideas in the practice of Estate Surveying, Valuation and Facilities Management within and outside Nigeria. 

    He was a National Council Member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers from 1998 to 2004, and the longest-serving member of the Membership Committee of his Professional Institution in Nigeria, having served from 1998 to 2009. He is a Past District Governor of Rotary International, District 9130, having served as Centennial Governor in 2004-2005. He is a prolific writer and an author with three publications to his credit. 

    He currently represents the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers on the Governing Board of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. He served as Chairman, Professional Practice Committee of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) between 2010 and 2013 during his tenure as an elected member of that regulatory body. He is currently a member of the Board’s (ESVARBON) Disciplinary Tribunal and the Chairman, Faculty of Housing of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.
